Ugandan beaten by sons for converting to Christianity (opens the original)
Read excerpt
A Christian in eastern Uganda has been hospitalised after his Muslim sons beat him for leaving Islam. Kibirige Abumusa, 52, put his faith in Christ on 1 June at an open-air evangelistic event in Jinja City, which he had been encouraged to attend by a business colleague. An almost identical bill was introduced by Lauren Edwards this June. Now that it has failed a second time, it is unlikely there will be any further attempts to introduce assisted suicide for several years.

As they made their way to the Houses of Parliament, singing Christian hymns, they were joined by a chanting pro-choice presence, many of whom were part of a counter-protest organi
