THEBES â Monday morning the Village of Thebes has declared a 30-day local disaster over a broken swage pump. The city first declared a local disaster on Aug. 14. The declaration came after the villageâs main sewage pump on Bean Ridge Road broke, leaving no way for sewage or wastewater to leave the town. The village was originally given a wastewater pump on loan from C&C Pumps and Supply but itâs only a temporary solution.

Molly Schuyler traveled to Southern Illinois to take on Pizza Villaâs 28-inch pizza challenge, which normally gives a three-person team 30 minutes to finish a pizza weighing about 12.5 pounds.
