Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue crews stopped a brush fire that was burning at the dirt extension of Chimney Drive in Sun Valley. It started just before 10 p.m. Saturday north of Reno. Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue say firefighters stopped forward progress on the Bake Fire around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. Crews worked through the night and into Sunday morning mopping up the perimeter, looking for hot spots. No buildings were damaged and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Lemmon Valley. The Bake Fire started just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday and is burning east of Arkansas Drive and Deodar Way.
