The Old Bubba O’Malley’s in Burton Is Coming Down (opens the original)
Read excerpt
We told you last year that the old Bubba O’Malley’s building in Burton could be torn down. Well, it’s happening. And yes, we know it was last called Elwood’s Restaurant and Pub. But come on, for a lot of us, it’ll always be Bubba O’Malley’s. New photos show the building on Belsay Road near I-69 being torn down, with chunks of the roof missing, walls ripped apart, and debris scattered around the property. Read excerpt
Michigan’s first deer hunting weekend of 2026 is in the books, and lots of hunters were successful. The Youth and Liberty Hunts took place September 12 and 13, right alongside Michigan’s early antlerless season. It may have only lasted two days, but hunters across the state were busy and put up some pretty impressive numbers. According to the Michigan DNR deer harvest report, 8,488 deer were reported harvested during the weekend. See Also: Michigan Deer Hunters Have a New Tagging Option This Sea
