Flatwillow Homemakers held their first meeting of the new year on September 8. Our hostess was Sandy Gonzalez. We carpooled to Huntley to enjoy our Sept meeting. Flatwillow Lepper Memorial Hall located 12 miles south of Winnett on Highway 244 is getting some needed maintenance and repairs done. The Hall was originally built in 1921. It burned to the ground in 1925 due to arson and was rebuilt in 1926. It has served continuously as a community gathering place, first for the Flatwillow community and later the entire county.
