KNOXVILLE — The PCM cross country teams swept the standings during their season-opening meet at Pine Knolls Golf Club on Aug. 24. The Class 2A No. 7 Mustangs went 1-2-3 in the girls’ race and the boys’ put four in the top seven during the Knoxville Early Bird Invitational. VAN METER — A late run propelled the PCM softball team past Van Meter on June 29. In a matchup between a pair of top-six ranked squads in Class 3A, sixth-ranked PCM edged fift-ranked Van Meter, 2-1, during non-conference action. Both teams scored once in the fourth, but the Mustangs got an RBI double from Hadley Millang in the top of the seventh.
