SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— A Chippewa County man was arrested Monday following a crash between a pickup truck and a bicyclist in Sault Ste. Marie. On September 21, the Sault Ste. Marie Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of the Fort Street Bridge. The pickup was no longer at the scene when officers arrived. The bicyclist was seriously injured. MENOMINEE, MI— Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation will be performing signal work in Menominee starting Monday. Crews will do maintenance repairs on the traffic signal on US-41/10th Street at the 10th Avenue intersection beginning October 5. The signal will be placed in flash mode periodically during the work. Repairs are expected to be completed by Wednesday, October 7. MDOT urges drivers to use caution when approaching the intersection.
