Niagara Parks celebrates the 1814 Siege of Fort Erie with a two-day anniversary event Aug. 8 and 9, featuring artillery demonstrations, battle re-enactments and children’s programming. Old Fort Erie will host visitors from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sunday. The event honours the legacy of the 1814 siege, while offering visitors an interactive way to travel back to the 19th century.
