    To the editor: A firm tip o’ the cap to all the engineers, late-night grader fuelers, mailbox replacers and everyone else involved in the 2026 Yankovich Road replacement. The intrusions to we residents’ lives were minimal, the planning seemed exquisite and the conversations with the flag people were unexpectedly inspiring. Well done, Alaska Department of Transportation folks and all the contractors. The Daily News-Miner encourages residents to make themselves heard through the Opinion pages.
