Customers of Delmarva Power will once again have an opportunity to comment on the utility's rate case. The Delaware Public Service Commission is holding a hybrid public comment session Wed. Sept. 23rd beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Delmarva's application for an increase in electric base rates and proposed changes to its electric tariff. The PSC also held a comment session in August. Since then, Delmarva Power has gone to Superior Court to seek a review of a previous directive regarding interim rates.

The State of Delaware is getting a five-year, $16-million federal Charter Schools Program grant, according to the Delaware Department of Education. The goal is to expand access to high-quality public charter school options, and strengthen support, oversight and accountability of Delaware's 23 charter schools. Combined, these schools have about 19,000 students enrolled. Most of the funding will go towards competitive "sub-grants" that will be based on the quality and the readiness of applicants.
