A driver was injured after crashing into a building on Youngstown's south side. It happened around 4:30 AM Sunday morning at Cyclone Auto Seat Covers on W. Indianola Avenue. It's not clear what caused the crash, but the driver went through the traffic light at Oak Hill Avenue and ended up crashing into the building. Police tell 21 News the vehicle plowed into the same spot where another car hit the building just a few weeks ago. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Crews are investigating after a fire broke out in a detached garage on Youngstownâs west side. The flames were spotted in the garage of a home on North Richview Avenue around 1:30 AM Saturday morning. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control, but the garage was deemed a total loss. A nearby house sustained minor damage to its siding, but crews were able to prevent it from spreading further. No one was injured. The fire is under investigation.

CHAMPION - Mahoning Avenue NW south of Route 82 is open again after what the Champion Fire Department described as a major water main break. A message posted on the departmentâs Facebook Page at around 6 a.m. Sunday reported the break and included pictures of a flooded intersection. As of 7 a.m., both northbound and southbound lanes of Mahoning Avenue were closed. The intersection opened after repairs were made. It's not clear what caused the crash but the vehicle knocked down 2 utility poles on Mahoning Avenue and Johnson Street bringing wires down on top of it.
