A fire at Dubuqueâs Jefferson Middle School tonight damaged a classroom, the roof, and the heating and cooling system, though no injuries were reported. Dubuque Fire Department personnel were dispatched just before 8 p.m. for an activated fire alarm at Jefferson, 1105 Althauser St., a department press release states.
