RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – SLED has canceled an Endangered Person Alert after a missing elderly woman in Richland Co. has been found safe. According to Richland County deputies, Alice Rawls, 81, was last seen at 400 Palmetto Health Parkway Wednesday at 4 p.m. Authorities say she’s driving a 2015 White Nissan Frontier pickup truck with the South Carolina tag number QUY584. Again, SLED has canceled the alert as she was found safe.

FAIRFIELD CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a collision early Saturday morning. It happened at SC Highway 34 near 99 Road at 3:14 a.m. According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt, a 2005 Chevy Tahoe travelling north went off the left side of the roadway and struck several trees. The driver died on scene from their injuries. The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of late. Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
