In 1960, a 25-year-old Italian arrived in Wollongong with barely a word of English and all his worldly possessions tucked into a suitcase. Sixty-six years later, an image of former steelworker Gaetano Risi outside his house in Port Kembla has won first prize in a city-wide photographic competition.
