BIG LAKE â A Big Lake man found guilty in April of killing his mother has been found not guilty by reason of mental illness following the second phase of his trial. Sherburne County District Court Judge Karen B. Schommer issued the ruling Aug. 17 in the case of Eric Leif Jordahl, 26. Schommer ordered Jordahlâs existing civil commitment as mentally ill and dangerous to continue. Jordahl was charged in the July 23, 2020, death of his mother, 62-year-old Rosalie Johnson, at their Big Lake home.
