OSHKOSH, Wis–U-W Oshkosh Vice Chancellor of Athletics Darryl Sims has resigned. Sims is stepping down from that position to become the director of the University of Wisconsin Athletics “W” Club. Sims served as athletic director for 16-years, having also been an assistant football coach and working for the U-W-O Foundation before that. He is a former NFL defensive lineman–playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns from 1985 to 1987. He played college football at Wisconsin.
