WASHINGTON, D.C. (KFYR) - More than 100 veterans on the Western North Dakota Honor Flight were welcomed as heroes as they arrived in Washington, D.C. The 111 veterans visited memorials built in their honor, toured the U.S. Capitol and visited the National Air and Space Museum during their two-day visit. The trip also brought unexpected moments for participants and volunteers. The journey began with cheers, thank-yous and gratitude when veterans landed at Washington Dulles International Airport.
