Another video of Rush drummer Anika Nilles has gone viral. This one shows her losing the grip on one of her sticks during the drum-fill in “Tom Sawyer” last Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas. But, without missing a beat, she quickly grabbed a spare stick and continued her path across the toms. A little over a minute later Alex Lifeson picked up the stick and tapped his guitar strings before tossing it into the audience. Rush continue their Fifty Something tour Thursday in Houston.

Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan has commented further on the band’s founding guitarist Ritchie Blackmore joining them on stage last month at Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York to perform “Smoke on the Water.” That was Blackmore’s first performance with the band since November 15th, 1993 in Helsinki, Finland. Purple are down to the last two shows on their U.S. tour — tonight (Friday) in Long Beach, California, and Saturday in Sparks, Nevada.
