The memories linger in my mind, but over the course of time they have grown dimmer. Two weeks from today will mark 75 years since my dad departed this Earth, just over two months before my 12th birthday. Ernest Oren Bailey had moved from his native Oklahoma to northern Minnesota with his brothers, Oliver Burrell Bailey (he went by Jake) and my namesake Uncle Jim following high school, becoming farmers.
