Snakes Sweep and Still Alive: Dbacks 12, Rockies 8 (opens the original)
Read excerpt
The Arizona Diamondbacks stayed alive this afternoon as they were able to complete the 3-game sweep at Coors Field. This marks the first time since 2018 that the Dbacks have been able to complete a sweep at Coors, and it could not have come at a better time. The story of the game was the offensive explosion to the tune of 6 runs in the first inning as the Dbacks first 6 hitters all reached. This was capped by a 3 run HR by the red hot Gabi Moreno and a 2 run shot by the veteran Nolan Arenado. Bo
Guess Whose Back!? Dbacks 5, Royals 3. F/11 (opens the original)

On Tuesday the Dbacks were able to get to a season high 10 games over .500 as they beat the Kansas City Royals in 11 innings. The story of the game was Corbin Burnes’ return to the team, but the guys that stole the show at the end were of an unlikely variety as there was lots to report from this one! Corbin Burnes looked about as I expected him to in his season debut, but perhaps performed slightly better. His fastball was up a tick or 2 topping out at 95 mph when it topped out at 93 in his reha
Deja Vu All Over Again: Dbacks 1, Phillies 7 (opens the original)

I feel as though I have already written this recap about 20 times this season. The Dbacks starting pitching was able to keep the team in the game, but the offense never got going in this one as they have yet to get a hit with RISP this series. Perhaps the tone of the day was set before the game even started when the team announced the reinforcements have finally arrived! In the form of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Blake Walston…. Yawn. Definitely not what the fans had in mind when the reinforcements
Giant Letdown: Dbacks 1, Giants 6 (opens the original)

The Dbacks were 8-1 on the season against the Giants coming into the game today. However the offense has not yet arrived in San Francisco as the Dbacks drop the first game of the series 6-1. Jose Cabrera got off to a rough start giving up a leadoff home run and throwing 30 pitches in the first. However he settled in nicely and was able to pitch into the 5th inning and allowed only 2 runs. Exactly what you are asking for out of the rookie righty. The Giants were really not hitting him much at all
Holy Waldschmidt! Dbacks 5, Cubs 4 (opens the original)

Mark Grace perhaps said it best in the postgame show when he said, “Im not sure we have seen a more unlikely Dbacks win the season” The almost Dback Clay Holmes shut this Dbacks offense down for 7 innings. The Dbacks had a deal in place for Holmes per multiple reports but the deal fell through at the last minute due to medicals. The fact that he was almost a Dback made the first 7 innings of this game sting all that much more, especially given the current status of this rotation. Brandon Pfaadt
