Q2 Billings Area Weather: A cooler, breezy mix of sun and clouds on Saturday (opens the original)
Read excerpt
BILLINGS — We had one more day of summer-like warmth in most of Montana and Wyoming on Friday, but that will come to an end fairly soon. A cold front is already pushing eastward over the northern Rockies, drumming up gusty wind, bringing more clouds, and cooler air. Lows Saturday morning will range from the mid 40s to the mid 50s. The aforementioned cold front is fairly moisture-starved, so we will have little to no chance for rain in southern Montana and northern Wyoming of any significant rain

We'll have a mix of clear sky and high clouds tonight with lows from the mid 30s to the upper 40s Sunday morning. Our next storm will be pushing into western Montana the first half of Sunday. We'll have better chances for rain showers, thunderstorms, and high eleva

BILLINGS — Right on schedule, a cold front pushed over most of Montana and northern Wyoming by late Friday afternoon. It brought a few rain showers and thunderstorms, but its biggest effect was a rapid cooling of our temperatures. We'll have a partly to mostly cloudy sky tonight with most lows in the 30s and 40s by Saturday morning. We will be between storms on Saturday afternoon, and we can expect the partly to mostly cloudy sky to continue along with mild, comfortable, cooler-than-average high
