A convicted drug smuggler with links to Scots crime boss Jamie Stevenson has been given six years for his role in a £8 million cocaine bust. Charles McAughey, 65, was arrested after police swooped at an industrial estate in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, last December. The former haulage firm boss, of Bothwell, Lanarkshire, had gone to the location to meet another trucker who had taken the narcotics there inside an electric-powered 'hide' in the trailer.
