Happy Wednesday, Northland! A very pleasant early fall day Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s for most. Near Lake Superior, blustery onshore winds continued as well. Despite not being quite as chilly this morning, it still got quite cool with many dipping into the 30s with some spots below freezing in the low lying areas not too close to the lake in the Twin Ports and long the South Shore. Overnight was quite chilly too, with plenty of spots dipping near if not below freezing thanks to a high-pressure system. This high-pressure system wonât stick around for long as a storm system is going to bring more needed rain later in the day. The first show

Clouds kept it slightly cooler for Labor Day compared to Sunday but it was still summer-like away from the lake with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. As we headed into the evening and overnight hours, a system started to bring showers and storms which continue into this morning. These showers and storms will continue eastwards, clearing out by the late morning and early afternoon for many. Any remaining rain we can see later on in the day will come ahead of a cold front, where some showers
