Andhra Pradesh is facing a severe rainfall deficit this southwest monsoon, with the State recording 53.4 per cent less rainfall than normal between June and August, raising concerns over kharif output, rural incomes and consumption demand. Against the normal rainfall of 424.1 mm during the June-August period, the State received only 197.6 mm.
