   I read the headline in the RJ sports section announcing the retirement of Ryan Reaves. The announcement caused me to reflect on his time with the Knights. All of my reactions are from seeing him play, from interviews and articles written about him. And from just observing him react with other players and people. To me, he was an average player who did not score a lot, did not skate particularly fast and all in all was not an outstanding hockey player. Yet, he seemed to exhibit qualities that see

   Social Security is an earned benefit. Social Security is not a socialism benefit. Proposals to remove the wage cap from FICA taxes are not based in reality (Monday letter to the editor). You would need to limit the Social Security check before you raise the cap. Otherwise, you will be paying billionaires millions of dollars per month at retirement. The only way to fix Social Security is for the teachers to pay FICA taxes. The unions don’t even allow the press to print that idea.
