The last few months have been some of the strangest I have ever witnessed. Since May, I have signed handfuls of papers every day! Sometimes twice on the same page. It began when my husband first went to the hospital. Sign here, sign there, then the next day again, like a dozen more papers, insurance, on and on. Then, when you think you have done it all, you're asked to sign more papers the next day. Maybe he would qualify for Medicaid, they said. Well, that took on a whole new round of papers. G

With so much going on, I didn't realize I hadn't written a story for this weekend's edition of the newspaper! This was a song I wrote one day after leaving my husband David in the nursing home. So I'll just send it and a picture of some of our family in happier days. I know many of you reading this have gone through this as well. He has been gone a month already, and I still turn to tell him something, but the chair is empty. As I go through things at our home, I keep finding little hidden love
