    I was impressed by how North Somerset Council has raised two red and blue flags at Birnbeck Pier in Weston-super-Mare, on the Southern Toll House, after installing a new flagpole and decorative roof edging representing the letters B and P for Birnbeck Pier, using the International Maritime Signal Flag System.     I was delighted to read in last week’s Weston Mercury how North Somerset Council has completed a major improvement scheme at Grove Park in Weston-super-Mare’s lovely, colourful town-centre park, including new toilet facilities, an upgraded entrance, and landscaping enhancements.
