FAYETTEVILLE -- An Elkins couple pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony theft charges related to taking money from an elderly woman. Gary Duane Powell Jr., 42, and Savannah Nakaye Powell, 43, both pleaded guilty in front of Circuit Judge Joanna Taylor to one count of theft of property as a Class B felony, according to 4th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Brandon Carter. Gary Powell also pleaded guilty to four counts of theft of property as Class D felonies while Savannah Powell pleaded guilty
