PLATTEVILLE, Sept. 16 — Thursday is a day that should be celebrated more than it is across this nation. In the 250 years since the American colonists told King George III that keeping a colony 4,200 miles away by boat was madness, many soon-to-be-former colonies have declared independence from their soon-to-be-former colonial masters. PLATTEVILLE, Sept. 16 — Gubernatorial candidate and U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany (R–Hazelhurst) made worldwide headlines after he left Platteville Saturday. PLATTEVILLE, Sept. 9 — A bus sponsored by Grant County Right to Life won’t be in the Platteville Dairy Days parade Saturday morning. The group made that decision after Dairy Days officials wouldn’t let the bus into the parade with photos of fetuses on the side of the bus. Marge Karsten of Grant County Right to Life said the group Friday “was given the option to cover the prints of six-week and 18-week-old infants in the womb that appear on the sides of the bus or to march without the bus.” Karst
