   In recent reporting by the Grand Forks Herald, North Dakota Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring commented on the serious impact the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz has had on fertilizer prices. He states, “We really need to be a lot more thoughtful and balance how we approach these issues,” and then goes on to enthuse about the prospect of an ammonia plant in Grand Forks. By mere accident of birth, these men are torn from their families to be dispatched to countries where they “belong,” as if one were bound to one’s land of origin like a feudal serf.
