GROSSE POINTE PARK — Grosse Pointe Park is staying with its general liability and property insurance provider for at least another year. The Grosse Pointe Park City Council voted unanimously Aug. 10 in favor of renewing its contract with Mount Clemens-based Nickel and Saph Inc. for the 2026 to 2027 fiscal year, at a cost of $403,661.35. That’s an increase of 7.3%, or $27,582.95, over the previous year’s premium of $376,088.40, but lower than the amount the city had budgeted, which was $406,000.
