One person is in custody after they were allegedly behind the wheel of a wrong-way crash on Interstate 271 in Pepper Pike that killed one person and injured another on Sept. 22. The crash occurred around 2:26 a.m., when Pepper Pike police and fire crews were dispatched to I-271 northbound near Shaker Boulevard with reports of a vehicle crash with injuries. According to a news release from the Pepper Pike Police Department, a 2025 Subaru Impreza was driving south in the northbound lanes on I-271
