A convicted murderer who has gone back on his guilty plea says he is trapped in a hotel room - again - amid a stand-off with Manchester council. Stephen Kidd was locked up in 2009 for his part in the killing of a man the previous year. The 54-year-old was released from prison in January 2025 having served 17 years.
