EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) -- The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire on 3rd Avenue Thursday afternoon, according to a release. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the residence and assisted several people out of the structure. Firefighters entered the basement, which was full of smoke, and extinguished a fire in and around an appliance located in the basement. No injuries were reported.
