With 2026 marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, July 25 saw the first of two lunchtime concerts at St Thomasâs Church, Salisbury, based around the Great American Songbook. âThe Melody Lingers Onâ featured songs by celebrated composers Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and George Gershwin, plus several others.
