“I’ve had an extraordinary life,” Steve Lukather says. “I’m one lucky guy.” Indeed he is. Lukather spent the summer touring with Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band before hitting the road with Toto for their massive North American summer tour with Christopher Cross. On September 24, he’ll be back on the road with Ringo on the Fall 2026 Tour running through October 7. But of course Luke is equally well known for his studio session work. He’s one of history’s most prolific session guitarists, contri

“And in comes this thin, 98-pound, translucent dude.” The guitar legend who launched David Bowie and John Lennon to the top of the charts, got high with Paul McCartney and talked back to Chuck Berry (opens the original)

Few guitarists have enjoyed a front-row seat to as much music history as Carlos Alomar. Beyond his decades with David Bowie, the guitarist worked closely with John Lennon during the former Beatle's most creatively fertile post-Beatles years, shared unforgettable moments with Paul McCartney and even found himself onstage with rock ’n’ roll pioneer Chuck Berry. Last year, Alomar returned to the road after a nine-year hiatus, reuniting with drummer Dennis Davis and bass guitarist George Murray as t
