LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police have arrested two men in connection with a crash near downtown Laredo last month that left an SUV torn in half. Police say street racing caused the crash. Officers arrested 19-year-old Armando Rodriguez III and 20-year-old Gerardo Velasquez. Investigators say the two were racing so fast they couldn’t avoid hitting the SUV when it ran a stop sign at Houston and San Jorge. Both drivers are in jail facing felony charges.
