The 2026 Iowa State Fair has made history. After 10 days of big crowds, four daily attendance records and a new all-time single-day high, the fair needed fewer than 68,000 people through the gates Sunday to become the most-attended Iowa State Fair ever. The 2024 Iowa State Fair was previously the biggest in the fair's history, with 1,182,682 people going through the gates. That's 12,307 more than the previous record of 1,170,375 in 2019. Last year's fair, which drew 1,160,121, is third all-time.
