I had a whole post written and scheduled to publish last weekend, but something made me hesitate. I moved the scheduled publication back to the Sunday morning and then, after the phone call from the hospital at 4:30am, I cancelled it.So this isn’t the piece I wrote last week, and it isn’t exactly the piece I’d write now, if I was starting from scratch. I’m still not completely sure whether I should publish it, because it feels tender and private and half-formed, but I think that I probably will.
