A Wild Way to Let People Love You (opens the original)

The heart of today’s missive is about one of the best and hardest ways to let people love us: Asking for help. I find asking for help in a crisis is easier than asking for help on a regular weekend when things are going pretty well, and everyone is busy with their own thing. In that spirit, I’d love your help. I’m performing my solo show, A Little Bit Much, in 8 cities in Eastern Canada starting this coming week. As you read these cities, will you ask yourself…Who do I know near these places I ca

I learned a lesson early on that I’ve been trying to apply to life ever since.I give myself an A- on the assignment, which is pretty darn good. It’s in the “know thyself” vein. The better we understand ourselves and work with the material of who we are, the more command we’ll have of our lives. Simple theory. Lifelong practice. Outrageously embarrassing.I used to think I didn’t embarrass easily, but I might be embarrassed all the time? With a self-ascribed A-, you’d think I’d know for sure.
