HeyJaredWatson Rare Native Plant Preserve
The Watson Rare Native Plant Preserve is a 501c (3) non-profit organization in Warren Texas, about 45 miles north of Beaumont and was created by the late Geraldine Watson, one of the activists who worked to create the Big Thicket National Preserve.

Yesterday marked the autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere and though the light has shifted and there’s a tinge of color change on some of the trees, temperatures in the 90s remain for the rest of this week and into next. The light is slowly changing and while the heat isn’t abating just yet, the slide towards fall is beginning. It is a bit crispy in southeast Texas and at the Preserve, however.
