We are very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here in a friend's house for 10 days between 4 days and then one last day in Paris before our return home. I think though, by the time Sunday comes, we will both be ready for home. This year we have had three summers: one in Australia in January an

I was going to post this on Substack because I thought it might get a bit long but sometimes things get lost on Substack. Or perhaps people just don't read my posts.(I have put it on Substack so hi to the 12 people who are reading this) And if you don't want to read this, you don't have to. The usual content warnings of body image/weight loss etc. This week has proved to me how far I've come this year, I was going to say physically, but mentally, too. When Mark suggested we go up Helvellyn, I sa

    LIFE (opens the original)

I've felt lately that life has really been ‘lifing’ and I'm a bit knackered to be honest.None of the ‘lifing’ has actually happened to me but I have felt the effects of it all. At the beginning of July we ran our first Poetry at the Old School Room festival in Haworth and what was a fantastic event really left its mark, both physically and mentally.
