    Great Lakes Barrens just sounds cool. I have to say it may be one of my favorite Michigan Habitats. Maybe it is because I find them along portions of the Great Lakes shoreline up north. Often overlooked by the casual visitor, this habitat suffers from an ecological identity crisis.
