Read excerpt
Holly Jennings has been part of my writing life for years, and if you’ve read the series, you know I haven’t made things easy for her.I write all of my thrillers under my pen name, A.K. Alexander. Holly is a detective and a mother, and I care about both parts of her life when I’m writing. I try to balance her life at home and the subplots that go along with it with her work solving some very heinous crimes. Then I spent some time in wine country, and the girl in me who grew up on Nancy Drew and loved a good Agatha Christie whodunit started paying attention. I wanted to write a modern day murder mystery set among the vineyards, one with humor at its heart and a character you could relate to, fall in lov
What I'm Working On Right Now (opens the original)
Read excerpt
Hi Friends,When readers ask me what I’m working on, my honest answer is usually “which one?” As I write this, the dogs are stretched out on their beds in my office taking their jobs as writing companions very seriously, lunch is at my desk again, and I have three books in three different stages, under two names, all headed your way over the next three months. So instead of my usual vague answer, let me give you the full tour of the desk.First up: The Lucifer Legion, coming August 11. This is the
