Hey folks, thanks for checking out the newsletter this week. My wife and I took a quick camping trip over the weekend, visiting Governor Dodge State Park in western Wisconsin. While the campsite we had was awful (very sloped, badly rutted), the trip was still fun. Driving around the park, we saw countless great sites, so it was just bad luck and bad timing that we got one of the few bad ones.I’m currently wading through a packed email inbox as well as getting caught up on a few article deadlines

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out the newsletter this week. For those living in the US, I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. One of my sons had a birthday over the weekend, so we had a small family dinner and my wife made a cake to celebrate. Quiet, low-key, and fun. This is a holiday-shortened work week, but I have a ton of stuff to clear off my plate. I’m working on a new book proposal for my agent to start shopping around to publishers. We’re diving into editing articles for Backwoods
