We returned from our summer holiday to Türkiye last week and I cannot stop thinking about it. It's not often a place takes hold of me like this. Türkiye is one of the most layered places on earth - Greek ruins, Roman cities, Byzantine fortresses, Ottoman mosques, all sitting on top of each other on a coastline so beautiful it seems make-believe.
