the remote body reading notes: September (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

    Read excerpt

I spent much of September in Barcelona, where I was cat-sitting, before heading back home to West Yorkshire to embrace the shift into Autumn with green satsumas, a fire hazard of candles and a back-to-school feeling that fizzed through my fog-laden brow. These reading notes stretch from the beach to a blanket-swaddled sofa, despite the clement end to September. I also read quite a lot this month.<a class="image-link image2" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!fUO6!,f_auto,q_auto:good,f

    Excerpt · Positive tone

October is my favourite month. The air is crisp, the leaves are turning and I can finally start wearing all my cosy jumpers. (In the Northern hemisphere that is). It’s a month of soups and spookiness. Full disclosure - it’s also my birthday month and has my favourite holiday - Halloween! There’s lots on in October and here is my pick of the bunch. This month I’ve put a star next to my personal favourite events. These are my “do not miss” picks.*<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="

Pass the remote: September (opens the original)

    Excerpt · Positive tone

    Read excerpt

September always feels like the beginning of something to me. I think it’s because in the UK the school year starts in September. This is deeply ingrained in me as the beginning of things. September is the month for getting new stationery and making plans. Also, as the start of autumn, it will hopefully be cooler. I am ready for some cooler weather and some fun online activities. There’s lots on. It’s shaping up to be a good month.<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substa

    Excerpt · Positive tone

Hi folks! This is a quick one to say that our new Writing Workshop and Writing Sessions are now live and bookable! I took a break from running the workshop earlier this year while I focused on finishing my PhD (an ongoing project) but we are back, baby, and I’m so excited to get to spend time on this again!<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!Jrce!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpub
