July and August have been a bit of a blur here, with lots of cabin bookings keeping us very busy, and the garden taking up any remaining time and energy! So this post is more of a picture post of the last few weeks, but here are a few random thoughts amongst the pictures. Summer isn’t my favourite month. It’s a few weeks since we passed the Solstice, and Europe is in the midst of another heatwave. We’re not hot weather people, and it was one of the driving factors in moving north when we started experiencing 30°C+ days in London (among lots of other things unrelated to city life!).The temperatures here on the Black Isle have been peaking around 26°C (not too hot, I hear you say!) but hot enough for these pale and pasty southern migrants.
