    Context: I was invited by the FSU, along with representatives of the other main parties’ legal societies, to give a brief talk at the FSU annual drinks on 10 July. The Lib Dems did not attend, and the other speakers were Harry Gillow1 of the Society of Conservative Lawyers and Martin Howe KC, chair of Lawyers for Reform.
