Observations on Thunder and Reality (opens the original)
Read excerpt
It’s raining cats and dogs.Thunder and lightning.Thunder and a cat on my back porch (Thunder Cats😂), and a dog staring at me out the window, waiting for her walk. The rain, now, steady, heavy, crashes into the earth, the house, the trees. A rhythmic woosh. The dependable patter serves to drown out my thundering thoughts. The wind has ramped up. The gutters spill over. The sky thunder rolls and crackles. Like God bowling. Like God tearing the earth realm open as we’d tear a flimsy sheet of paper.
